Fire breaks out at Grans Brewery in Sandefjord with no control over blaze
A major fire has broken out at Grans Brewery in Sandefjord, Norway, with emergency services reporting they have not yet gained control over the flames, according to Dagbladet.
Open flames are visible from the roof of the brewery, and police confirm no one is inside the building. Authorities are considering evacuating nearby structures as the fire continues to spread.
The blaze is reportedly concentrated in a laboratory area containing nitrogen and helium tanks. “Smoke is pouring out of the building,” said Sandefjords Blad journalist Simen Trandem at the scene. Four fire trucks, smoke divers, and three police vehicles are responding, with the lower area cordoned off.
Multiple emergency vehicles were seen rushing to the site, the newspaper reported. Updates are expected as the situation develops.
