Elderly man dies in farming accident in Kälviä

A man in his 80s was crushed to death under a road drag attached to a tractor in Kälviä, western Finland, on Monday morning, reports Finnish public broadcaster Yle.

The accident occurred around 10 a.m. at the intersection of Krekiläntie and Kurunkankaan tie. According to preliminary police information, the 81-year-old man had just attached the road drag to his tractor and may have gone to adjust it when the tractor unexpectedly moved forward. He was trapped under the equipment and died at the scene.

Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
