Faroe Islands exports rise by one billion krona

The Faroe Islands exported goods worth 13.6 billion krona from February 2025 to January 2026, an increase of one billion krona compared to the same period the previous year, according to the Faroese statistical agency Hagstova.

Exports of dried fish grew by 474 million krona, while seafood exports overall rose by 1.2 billion krona, an 8.5% increase. Six countries—USA, Denmark, Spain, the UK, the Netherlands, and Russia—each imported Faroese seafood worth over one billion krona annually.

The trade surplus for the period reached 2.6 billion krona, with exports exceeding imports.
