Meteorologist Henrik Voldborg passes away at 88, leaving behind a legacy in weather broadcasting
Meteorologist and former weather presenter Henrik Voldborg has passed away at the age of 88. He died on Sunday following a period of illness, as confirmed by his family. Voldborg is survived by his wife, Anne Marie, and their four children.
He gained prominence for his role as a weather presenter at DR, where he was known for his colorful knitted sweaters. He retired in 2001, and upon his departure from DR and DMI, he was honored with an audience with the queen, receiving a knighthood.
Voldborg’s farewell service will take place at Nærum Church on July 26.
