Man arrested for burglary and knife threats in Reykjavík

In Reykjavík, a man was apprehended last night in connection with a burglary reported at a store in the city center. An eyewitness to the incident contacted the authorities and pursued the suspect for a brief period before he managed to escape. According to the police report, officers later located the suspect in a different neighborhood while he was still in possession of the stolen goods. He is now being held in custody for further investigation.

In a separate incident, police responded to a report of a man threatening others with a knife in a public area of Reykjavík. Officials stated that the individuals involved were arguing, leading one of them to draw a weapon. The man was subsequently arrested and placed in custody for investigation.
