Northvolt’s bankrupt subsidiary, responsible for its expansion in Skellefteå, is facing significant financial distress, with debts owed to suppliers totaling 5.7 billion SEK. This information emerges from the ongoing bankruptcy proceedings set to be submitted to the district court. Overall liabilities in the bankruptcy amount to 6.9 billion SEK, while assets have diminished to just over 1 billion SEK, according to estimates from the bankruptcy administrator.
