Tupperware’s direct sales operations in Finland are reportedly concluding, and there are indications that the company may cease its activities throughout Europe. Multiple team leaders and sales representatives have shared this information through social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, although the company itself has not confirmed these claims.

According to representatives, Tupperware will no longer conduct in-home sales presentations, which have been a staple of its business model. One consultant, who has worked with Tupperware for 11 years, noted that the company had instructed team members to limit communication regarding the changes to customers who are currently placing orders. As a result, details about the company’s future direction remain unclear.

Tupperware, founded by chemist Earl Tupper in 1946, gained popularity for its food storage solutions that promised long-lasting freshness. The brand was introduced to Finland in the 1960s by Elisabeth Rehn, who later became a well-known politician and former Minister of Defense.

Despite the impending end of direct sales, Tupperware products will still be available for purchase in certain retail outlets, such as Prismo, where they were introduced last summer. Sales manager Matti Viitanen mentioned that the products have performed relatively well, and current stock levels remain adequate. However, he acknowledged that changes in product availability may be on the horizon and that they have yet to receive official updates from Tupperware.
