Weather warning issued for snow and rain transition in Sweden

A weather warning has been issued due to a snow event that is expected to transition into rain, affecting regions from northern Värmland to southern Västerbotten. Authorities have noted that as temperatures on road surfaces are anticipated to drop below freezing, there is an increased risk of ice formation.

The alert is effective in southern Norrland from morning until afternoon, while in Jämtland and parts of Västerbotten, it will remain in effect from midday to evening. For the northwestern portion of Svealand, the warning will be active from Friday evening until Saturday morning.

Meteorological services are advising drivers to exercise caution on the roads during this period.
