Storm effects easing in Finland as conditions improve and snow transitions to rain
The effects of the recent storm are expected to start easing today, bringing clearer weather conditions. However, there may still be localized snow showers throughout the day. Poor driving conditions will persist in the western and southern regions of the country, as well as in Southeast Finland and Lapland.
Daytime temperatures in coastal areas could rise above freezing today and tomorrow, but the rest of the nation will experience daytime temperatures ranging from -1 to -8 degrees Celsius over the weekend. As Sunday evening approaches, a precipitation front is expected to move towards Finland, initially bringing snow to the southern and central regions. However, these snowy conditions are likely to transition rapidly to rain at the beginning of the week.
