Woman sentenced to four years for serious offenses in Pori, Finland
A woman from Pori, born in 1990, has been sentenced to four years in prison for serious offenses by the Satakunta District Court. The court found her guilty of aggravated assault, two counts of assault, and serious deprivation of liberty. These crimes occurred over a span of three and a half years, beginning in the summer of 2017. She was first arrested on suspicion of these acts in early 2021.
The court also sentenced a man born in 1987 for the same offenses, imposing a conditional prison sentence of one year and ten months. Both individuals are required to jointly compensate the victims with €35,000 for suffering and temporary harm.
The proceedings were conducted without public access, keeping nearly all details confidential. The court also sealed all related documents, the reasoning behind the verdict, and the identities of the victims. This ruling will remain secret for 60 years due to the sensitive nature of the personal information involved.
The court only made the verdict and associated legal references public. Currently, the sentences are not final; they can be appealed to a higher court.
