Two seriously injured in three-car crash near Sólheimajökull

Two people were seriously injured and six were taken for medical attention after a three-car crash near Sólheimajökull on Saturday evening, mbl.is reported.

Eight people were involved in the accident. Four were flown by a helicopter operated by the Icelandic Coast Guard to Landspítali hospital, while two were taken by ambulance to the South Iceland Health Institution.

The circumstances of the crash remain unclear. Police from South Iceland were still working at the scene.
