A parliamentary session is set to take place today in Iceland, during which four key issues will be addressed. One of the topics includes the extension of the validity period for legislation concerning the Grindavík production fund, aimed at ensuring continued economic activity in the town. Additionally, there is a proposal to increase Iceland’s quota with the International Monetary Fund, which would allow the nation to maintain its voting power and access larger loans if needed.

Another important matter on the agenda is a December supplement for individuals receiving disability pensions. Finally, a bill proposed by the President of the Parliament addressing amendments to parliamentary procedures will be discussed. This bill is particularly relevant given the challenges faced due to counting issues in the Northwest constituency, which led to uncertainty about the results of the last parliamentary elections.
