Fathers to receive commemorative medals in Finland starting next year

Finnish President Alexander Stubb announced in a Facebook post that starting next year, fathers will also be recognized with commemorative medals for their significant contributions to parenting. Traditionally, on Mother’s Day, distinguished mothers have been honored with the First Class Medals of the Order of the White Rose of Finland, awarded since 1946.

In his message, Stubb conveyed warm wishes for Father’s Day and shared that his own father has been an inspiration to him. “I am grateful for all the support I have received from my father throughout my life,” he stated.

Accompanying the post was a photo of Stubb with his father, Göran Stubb, and his brother, Nicolas Stubb.
