This year, two former executives from the troubled Oma Säästöpankki have reported substantial earnings from the previous year. Pasi Sydänlammi, who resigned from his position as CEO in June, earned over €1.4 million in taxable income last year, with nearly all of it attributed to salary income. He had led Oma Säästöpankki since 2009. Meanwhile, Pasi Turtio, the long-serving Deputy CEO who resigned earlier in the spring, reported income exceeding €580,000, with total earnings above €800,000.

Oma Säästöpankki, headquartered in Seinäjoki, has faced significant challenges since the spring. The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) launched a preliminary investigation into alleged securities market offenses related to the bank, following a request for investigation from the Financial Supervisory Authority. In April, the bank issued a negative profit warning, indicating that it had violated lending regulations.

Despite these issues, Oma Säästöpankki Oyj was the largest corporate taxpayer in South Ostrobothnia last year, with taxable income of €103 million.
