Adjustment percentage for public benefits to decrease in Finland next year

The adjustment percentage for public benefits will be 3.6% next year, according to the Ministry of Welfare and Education.

This year, the adjustment percentage is 3.8%, slightly higher than in previous years.

The adjustment percentage is the annual rate that most public benefits and pensions are based on.

It is calculated as the average of the percentage change in the salary framework from the Ministry of Finance over the twelve-month period ending on October 1 this year, combined with the percentage change in the consumer price index for the second quarter of this year compared to the second quarter of last year.
