Einstök börn receives largest donation in history from Kiwanis movement in Iceland
Einstök börn, an organization that supports children and young people with rare diseases, received a significant donation today – the largest in its history. The Kiwanis movement’s national fundraising campaign this autumn raised 45 million ISK for the group.
Today, four-year-old Hallur Guðjónsson and three-year-old Rúrik Freyr Rúnarsson were present to accept the donation on behalf of the organization. With nearly 800 families involved, Einstök börn aims to enhance the lives of children facing unique health challenges.
Guðmundur Björgvin Gylfason, the chairman of Einstök börn, expressed his gratitude, stating, “This is the biggest donation we have ever received.” He reflected on the journey of collaboration that began over a year ago and conveyed how deeply honored he felt that Kiwanis chose Einstök börn as their main project.
“This grant is not just the largest from Kiwanis; it is the largest we have received overall. This support is invaluable,” he added in his speech of thanks.
The Kiwanis movement, which focuses on improving the lives of children globally, has made a profound impact through its contributions, further emphasizing the importance of community support for organizations dedicated to helping vulnerable populations.
