Tjóðveldi elects Sirið Stenberg as new chairperson in Vágur

In a party assembly held in the late afternoon, the political party Tjóðveldi elected Sirið Stenberg as the new chairperson.

The election was contested between Stenberg and Bjørt Samuelsen, following Høgni Hoydal’s recent resignation as chairman just over a week ago.

Siriş Stenberg, who is 56 years old, hails from Vágur. She currently serves as the Minister of Welfare and Cultural Affairs in the government.
