Marius Borg Høiby loses driving license amid ongoing legal troubles in Oslo
Marius Borg Høiby currently does not possess a valid driver’s license, as confirmed by Oslo police’s press chief, Unni Grøndal. According to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s register, Høiby has no valid licenses. His attorney, Øyvind Bratlien, indicated that Høiby lost his driving privileges following a doctor’s recommendation.
Bratlien stated that Høiby has faced significant concerns regarding his health and limits. The ongoing legal proceedings have also been a heavy burden for him, exacerbated by what Bratlien described as intense media scrutiny. To protect Høiby’s well-being, both his firearms and driving rights have been relinquished, a decision Høiby agreed to.
Previously, Høiby held licenses for motorcycles, mopeds, passenger cars, and vans. The Public Roads Administration confirms that Høiby’s license was revoked as of October 31. The police have remained tight-lipped regarding the specific reasons behind the revocation.
Høiby is currently facing multiple charges stemming from incidents reported throughout the year. His first arrest occurred on August 4 after allegations of violence against a woman in Oslo. Høiby later admitted to committing violence under the influence of alcohol and cocaine, expressing remorse and a desire to take responsibility.
Further trouble arose when his ex-girlfriends accused him of domestic violence. He has since faced charges that include threats, damage to property, and violating a restraining order. Although he admitted to some charges, he denies violating the restraining order and claims no guilt regarding the allegations related to his ex-partners.
