Lux Beds From North faces bankruptcy proceedings amid fraud investigation in Lahti

The Lahti-based mattress company, Lux Beds From North, is facing bankruptcy proceedings. According to the insolvency registry, a bankruptcy petition was filed yesterday in the Päijät-Häme District Court. The petition was submitted by the bankruptcy estate of Finate Oy.

In August, reports emerged that the police were investigating Lux Beds From North due to complaints from customers who had paid in advance for mattresses but had not received their orders or refunds. Authorities have indicated that there are reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent activities within the company.

Additionally, the Consumer Ombudsman submitted a request for investigation to the police regarding the business practices of Lux Beds From North late this summer. The bankruptcy petition was first reported by Ilta-Sanomat.
