Finland’s CPI sees year-on-year rise of 1.5% in October
In October, the harmonized consumer price index (CPI) in Finland experienced a year-on-year increase of 1.5%, as reported by Statistics Finland. This marks a rise from September’s year-on-year change of 0.9%. The most significant increase was seen in the category of alcoholic beverages and tobacco, which rose by 5.3% compared to the same month last year. At the same time, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 0.2%. Housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels saw a price hike of 3.0%.
The items and quality standards included in the harmonized consumer price index are defined by EU regulations.
