Cold temperatures expected across Iceland with snow showers and clearer skies in the southeast

Today’s weather will be cold, with temperatures hovering just above freezing in most areas, reaching a maximum of six degrees Celsius. However, it may be slightly colder in the countryside, where temperatures are expected to be around the freezing point. The meteorological office forecasts western and southwestern winds at speeds of three to ten meters per second, with lighter winds in northern regions. There will be showers or snow squalls throughout the day, but much of eastern Iceland will experience mostly clear conditions.

Tomorrow, winds will pick up, shifting to the west and northwest, blowing at speeds of eight to fifteen meters per second, accompanied by snowfall or snow showers. However, southeastern regions are likely to enjoy generally clear weather.

By tomorrow evening, conditions will change, with a drop in temperature expected.
