Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend in Finland as clocks revert to standard time

Saturday 26th October 2024 on 00:54 in Finland

Daylight Saving Time in Finland will come to an end this weekend, as clocks will be set back one hour at 4 AM on Sunday. This marks the conclusion of a seven-month stretch of summer time, reverting to standard time.

The European Union has been considering a proposal to eliminate the clock changes across its member states for some time. However, this initiative has stalled within the EU’s decision-making process, meaning that both daylight saving time and standard time will continue to be observed for the foreseeable future.

Notably, several countries, including Iceland, Russia, India, and China, do not observe daylight saving time at all.
