Weather forecast: Summer-like temperatures continue with scattered showers expected across the country

Today, on Saturday, the weather is mostly fine, though there have been local showers in the middle of the country. The temperature in the south has risen to summer-like figures, with the highest temperature of the day recorded at 27.2 degrees in Kouvola.

A weather front from the south will arrive early Sunday morning, bringing showers to the southern part of the country. The front will advance slowly, and showers are expected throughout the day. Concurrently, cloudiness will increase in the central part of the country.

Temperatures in the south and the middle part of the country will remain around 20 degrees or slightly above. In the north, it will be dry and sunny, with temperatures possibly reaching 23-24 degrees in sunny areas.

The weather over the weekend and early next week will be variable. A slowly advancing weather front from the south is expected, with showers occurring. Outside the front, it will be dry.

During the night between Sunday and Monday, the weather front will slowly advance. On Monday, showers are expected in the area extending from North Karelia to Northern Ostrobothnia. There may be occasional thunder showers in the west.

On Monday, the sun will shine in the south and the north and there will be heat in Lapland. In most parts of the country, it will be 20-25 degrees.

After Monday, the weather front will gradually weaken and the weather will remain warm and typical for this time of July.
