National Coalition Party to name successor for Environment and Climate Minister Kai Mykkänen

The National Coalition Party (Kokoomus) will decide on the successor to Environment and Climate Minister Kai Mykkänen on November 30, announced the party leader and Prime Minister Petteri Orpo via messaging platform X. Mykkänen was elected as the new mayor of Espoo during a city council meeting held on Monday. He will take up his new position in February 2025. The current mayor of Espoo, Jukka Mäkelä, is set to retire from his role in January 2025.
