Authorities are currently responding to an incident at Aarhus University, where several individuals have experienced similar health symptoms. The affected areas include the Søauditoriet and the social science cafeteria, which have been cordoned off by the police. Classes in these two buildings have been suspended.

In addition to the East Jutland Police and the East Jutland Fire Department, experts from the Emergency Management Agency’s Hazardous Materials (HaZMaT) team are on-site to investigate a potential chemical reaction. The HaZMaT team is composed of specially trained personnel and chemists who can quickly assess and identify chemical substances using portable equipment.

A larger perimeter around the university library has also been secured as a precaution. The situation is ongoing and updates will follow.
