New association established for Down syndrome support in Tórshavn

This evening, a new association for individuals with Down syndrome and their caregivers is set to be established.

The organization aims to raise awareness about Down syndrome and provide support to those who care for affected individuals.

Among the founders is Hilmar Gudmundsen, along with his partner, Beata Leifsdóttir Skaalum. They aspire for better support systems for parents who welcome a child with Down syndrome in the future.

The founding meeting will take place at Perluni in Tórshavn tonight at 7 PM.
