Baldvinsson asserts claims are baseless amid investigation in Iceland

According to recent reports, a district prosecutor has recovered over 1,500 text messages exchanged between Baldvinsson and whistleblower Jóhannes Stefánsson. These communications allegedly present a different narrative than what has been portrayed by Samherji executives over the past five years.

In his statement, Baldvinsson lamented the unmerited stress imposed on individuals in a legal limbo, comparing their situation to that of accused criminals. He emphasized the psychological toll this atmosphere can take on both the individuals involved and their families.
