Detention of man extended in Sandá over assault charges

The detention of the man accused of the attack in Sandá has been extended by four weeks. He voluntarily accepted to remain in custody for an additional four weeks.

The man is charged with assaulting a woman on the street in Sandá on April 28. Approximately fifteen minutes after the attack, police apprehended the man in a cemetery along Velbastaðvegin.

The individual is in his thirties and is a foreign national.
