Fatal building fire in Konnevesi results in one death

One person died in a building fire in Konnevesi on Sunday. The Central Finland Rescue Department received an alert about the fire on Sunday morning before 9 a.m. Rescue units managed to contain the fire to the ground floor, and one of the residents was rescued. Firefighting and recovery efforts continued at the scene until around 10 a.m. According to the rescue department, the investigation into the cause of the fire will begin once the firefighting and recovery activities have been completed.
