Faroe Islands reports third highest GDP per capita among Nordic countries

The Faroe Islands hold the third highest gross domestic product (GDP) per capita among the Nordic countries, according to data from Statistics Faroe Islands. In 2023, the GDP per capita in the Faroes was 496,000 Danish kroner.

In comparison, Finland has a GDP per capita of 367,000 kroner, Sweden’s is at 382,000 kroner, and Denmark’s stands at 472,000 kroner.

However, Iceland and Norway surpass the Faroe Islands in terms of GDP per capita. Norway leads among the Nordic countries with a GDP per capita of 606,000 kroner, while Iceland follows closely with 569,000 kroner.
