Faroese currency unaffected by Danish banknote changes, says Ruth Vang

The Faroese thousand kroner bill will not be affected, according to Ruth Vang, the Minister of Finance.

The Danish National Bank has begun collecting older Danish banknotes and will invalidate the Danish thousand kroner note next year. However, this decision does not impact the Faroese currency, Vang stated.

Older Danish banknotes issued before 2009, including the thousand kroner note, will remain valid for use until May 31 of the upcoming year.
