Faroese 1,000-krone banknote unaffected by Danish currency changes, says Ruth Vang

The Faroese 1,000-krone banknote will remain unaffected.

This statement comes from Ruth Vang, the Minister of Finance in the Faroe Islands.

The Danish National Bank has begun collecting older Danish banknotes and will invalidate the Danish 1,000-krone note next year. However, Vang assures that this action will not impact the Faroese currency.

Older Danish banknotes issued before the 2009 series, including the 1,000-krone note, can be used until May 31 of next year.
