Committee reviews Minister Strøm’s response on preliminary findings regarding housing management sustainability in Bústøðum
This afternoon, the national government committee reviewed a response from Ingilín D. Strøm, the Minister of Fisheries, regarding the preliminary findings of the committee. The response document spans 36 pages.
However, the committee did not make any decisions during today’s meeting concerning the hearing response from Strøm and the Ministry of Environment. This was confirmed by Hans Jákup Thomsen, the committee chair.
The preliminary findings align with those of the National Audit Office, indicating multiple clear issues regarding the long-term sustainability of housing management at Bústøðum.
Also on the agenda for the national government committee was a complaint regarding Dennis Holm, the Minister of Fisheries. However, the committee has yet to reach a preliminary conclusion on this matter, and the complaint about the Minister was not discussed during today’s meeting.
Dennis Holm has allocated a joint quota of 35,000 tons for black fish, with a maximum limit, and his former colleague, Árni Skaale, has lodged a complaint against him for this allocation.
