Finnish government proposes changes to alcohol laws allowing home delivery and online sales
The Finnish government has proposed changes to the alcohol laws that would allow customers to order and have alcohol delivered from the Alko retail store, as well as from licensed retailers, kiosks, gas stations, and restaurants. Essentially, this legislative change would enable home delivery and online sales of alcoholic beverages.
According to the government’s proposal, the delivery of alcoholic drinks would also be allowed for producers of fortified wines with an alcohol content of up to 13% and craft beers with a maximum alcohol level of 12%. This would apply to businesses that currently hold the necessary permits to sell their own products directly from their production sites.
