Cold air mass brings snow showers to northern Sweden and dry conditions to southern areas
A cold air mass is moving across the country, ushering in northern winds along with snow showers in northern areas. A low-pressure system off the southwest coast is expected to bring some sleet or snow to the southwestern region. However, this system will begin to move away today, leading to generally dry conditions for the southern part of the country by midday. Daytime temperatures are expected to hover around or slightly above freezing.
Tomorrow, northwest winds will range from 10 to 15 meters per second, but wind speeds will decrease along the west coast. While many areas can expect clear weather, isolated snow showers may occur in the North and East and along the western coast late tomorrow evening. Overall temperatures are expected to remain stable.
This Saturday, another low-pressure area will approach from the west. Although it will not bring significant winds, recent forecasts predict intermittent snow or sleet in parts of the western region, while eastern areas are likely to enjoy dry and bright weather. Cold conditions are expected to persist in general.
