Strong winds cause power outages and emergency response disruptions in Central Finland and South Savo

Strong winds from the southeast have caused significant disruptions, leading to multiple emergency response tasks and power outages throughout the evening. Over 20 storm-related incidents were reported by the Central Finland Rescue Service, while the South Savo Rescue Service responded to around ten cases. Most of these tasks were related to fallen trees. Additionally, as of 10 PM, more than 2,000 customers in Central Finland were left without electricity, while nearly 6,000 households in South Savo faced power outages.
