Police investigate bus accident in Nastola, Finland

Police in Hämeenlinna are investigating a bus accident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Nastola, treating it as a potential traffic safety violation. According to the lead investigator, Crime Commissioner Markku Vornanen, there are currently no indications that the driver was under the influence of alcohol or speeding at the time of the incident. The police have not yet determined the exact cause of the accident.

“We have not yet been able to interview the driver,” Vornanen stated.

At the time of the accident, the bus had the driver and three underage passengers on board, all of whom managed to exit the bus through a roof hatch after it rolled onto its side. Vornanen confirmed that all passengers were wearing seatbelts, and fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
