Crew member falls from height on Dutch cargo ship in Bothnian Sea

A member of the crew on a Dutch cargo ship fell from a height of eight meters in the Bothnian Sea on Tuesday. The Western Finland Coast Guard responded to the incident by evacuating the individual to a hospital. The Coast Guard’s Rajaheko100 helicopter received a distress call through the Dutch maritime rescue center.

The individual sustained injuries to their lower extremities and received first aid before being transported for further treatment at Turku University Hospital.
