Man arrested on drug charges at airport in Faroe Islands

A man who arrived by plane from Denmark yesterday was arrested on suspicion of carrying drugs internally. An X-ray examination confirmed the suspicions.

The individual, a Faroese in his mid-thirties, was found to possess 90 grams of hashish.

After the police completed their investigation, he was released but will receive a summons to appear in court at a later date, according to the Faroese Police this morning.
