Nobia, a kitchen furniture manufacturer, has concluded its restructuring negotiations, resulting in job losses in Finland. The company’s adjustments will lead to a reduction of 35 positions across its various operations. Additionally, Nobia will implement temporary layoffs for its staff. Initially, the restructuring discussions estimated the need to cut 45 jobs.

Nobia operates a factory in Nastola, Lahti, which was formerly known as Novart, along with several other locations across the country, including a number of entrepreneur-run stores. The company cites the low level of residential construction as the primary reason for these measures, significantly impacting the demand for kitchens.

In previous restructuring negotiations that ended last year, Nobia laid off around 100 employees.
