A low-pressure system is moving south over the country, bringing cooler weather. Expect light rain in the southeast throughout the day, while the western regions will experience clearer skies. This evening, scattered snow showers are anticipated in the northeastern corner of Iceland. Temperatures will range from 2 to 9 degrees Celsius, with areas in the northeast hovering around freezing.

Tomorrow, a slow-moving low-pressure area will settle to the south and west of the country. In the east, winds from the northeast will bring rain or sleet at times, while northeastern and southeastern Iceland will likely see milder and drier conditions. The cool weather is expected to persist.

On Sunday, winds will shift to a northern direction, resulting in shorter weather systems over the western part of the country, while eastern regions may still face rain or sleet.
