The Minister for Housing is expected to resign before the Prime Minister is forced to remove her from office, according to political commentator Árni Gregersen, who spoke earlier today.

Gregersen believes the situation will create significant unrest within the coalition government, potentially hindering political work throughout the autumn.

The Minister has been granted an extension until October 7 to submit her comments regarding the preliminary conclusions of the government affairs committee. In a radio interview today, Prime Minister Aksel V. Johannesen stated he would refrain from commenting on the matter concerning Indilín D. Strøm until the final conclusions are available.

He emphasized that he would take no action until he has seen the ultimate findings from the committee.
