Police clarify attempted murder suspicions in Hyvinkää shooting incident

Police have clarified that they no longer suspect attempted murder in the shooting incident that occurred early Monday morning in Hyvinkää. The shooting took place when shots were fired into the window of an apartment building on Vieremänkatu from outside. Gunfire was also exchanged from within the apartment. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.

On Wednesday, authorities announced that suspicions of attempted murder had diminished, particularly regarding the threat to public safety. This conclusion was reached after the trajectory of the bullets was analyzed. The police are also pursuing another charge related to firearms offenses.

Four middle-aged suspects have been apprehended, consisting of two men and two women. According to the police, the suspects have not provided insights into the motives behind the shooting during interrogations. They also emphasized that the incident posed no danger to bystanders.
