National Audit Office reveals procurement lapses in government contracts in Sweden

According to the National Audit Office, all public procurement and services requested by the government should be announced on the Procurement Portal, as required.

The National Audit Office included numerous examples of this in its annual report for 2023. For instance, some contracts have been awarded without competitive bidding.

In certain cases, exceptions have been made to the requirement to utilize the Procurement Portal. However, in many instances, the established rules for purchasing goods and services have not been adhered to, the Auditor General stated.
