Four individuals remanded in custody in connection with recent burglaries in Reykjavik

Three men and one woman have been remanded in custody until September 27 as requested by the police in the capital region in connection with an investigation into recent burglaries. The break-ins occurred late Sunday night and early Monday morning at two stores in the capital area, resulting in significant theft.
The suspects were arrested in the capital and at Keflavik International Airport, and three additional individuals are also in police custody related to the case. There has yet to be a decision on whether custody will be sought for these three additional suspects, but all seven detained are foreign nationals.
According to the police, the investigation is extensive, involving searches of premises and the seizure of two vehicles.
