Finland is experiencing a growing number of scam calls from abroad, according to the Finnish Telecommunications Association. The organization identifies several countries as primary sources of these fraudulent calls, including:

– United Kingdom (+44)
– Poland (+48)
– Norway (+47)
– Denmark (+45)
– Czech Republic (+420)
– Luxembourg (+352)
– Latvia (+371)
– Lithuania (+370)
– Cyprus (+357)
– Iraq (+964)
– Angola (+244)

Scammers often impersonate authorities or banks, aiming to extract personal information or financial details from individuals. In some cases, they may lead victims to return calls to premium-rate numbers.

The Telecommunications Association advises that individuals can use a free service to check whether a call or message has come from a scammer.
