Police release detained person following fire at row house in Kemi

Police have released a person detained following a Sunday fire in a row house in Kemi, although they are still suspected of being responsible for starting the blaze. No other individuals have been arrested in relation to this incident, and authorities do not have additional suspects at this time.

The police have continued their investigation into the fire, and technical analyses of the site have now been completed. Several individuals have been interviewed regarding the incident, with plans to conduct further questioning. Once the police investigation is concluded, the case will be handed over to the prosecutor. There is currently no information available regarding the timeline for the case’s progression.

The fire completely destroyed a twelve-apartment row house early Sunday morning on Purolankatu in Kemi. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported. The burned-down property is owned by the Karihaara housing foundation.
