Police investigate attempted murder in Martin district of Turku

The Southwest Finland police are investigating an act of violence that occurred on Thursday in the Martin district of Turku. To aid in the investigation, authorities are requesting any observations or information related to the incident.
According to a police statement, the violence targeted an adult male around 2:20 PM in Fleminginpuisto, located along Nokiankatu. The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
To ensure the integrity of the investigation, the police are withholding specific details about the incident. “The police are treating this case as an attempted murder and will continue the investigation that commenced on Thursday, including efforts to locate the suspect,” stated Chief Investigator Jari Klaus from the Southwest Finland police.
Authorities are particularly interested in any sightings or relevant information regarding the area between Stålarminkatu and Nokiankatu around the time of the incident.
