Efling reaches agreement with Iceland government on new collective bargaining terms

Efling, a labor union in Iceland, has reached an agreement with the government regarding a new collective bargaining agreement. The negotiation committees signed the agreement yesterday, and Efling members are set to vote on it in the coming days.

The wage increases align with what was agreed upon in the general market this spring, and the new terms are retroactive to April 1. Employees will see a wage increase of 3.25 percent, amounting to 23,750 Icelandic krónur. Additionally, payments for overtime, shift differentials, and on-call duties will also be adjusted.
