Firefighters respond to 108 emergency calls in Reykjavik area

Firefighters in the Reykjavik area responded to a total of 108 emergency calls related to medical transport within the last 24 hours, and six of those calls required the deployment of fire trucks. According to a post on the fire department’s Facebook page, none of the emergency responses necessitated more than one fire truck.
In an accompanying image, a firefighter is seen battling a fire that was ignited in a trash bin and nearby fencing. Fortunately, no serious damage resulted from the incident.
